University Police advises individuals currently on the Hattiesburg campus to shelter in place until further notice as the search continues for a pair of inmates who recently escaped from the Forrest County jail. Multiple agencies are in pursuit of the inmates, two African-American males wearing white clothes, who were last seen in the area of Hillcrest residence hall. The men are not believed to be armed, but nevertheless could be dangerous. Call University Police at 601-266-4986 with any related information.
